Kajari Shah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings a warm, thoughtful, and genuinely client-centered approach to her work. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Northern Illinois University and has over thirteen years of experience in clinical care.
Kajari works with individuals navigating a wide range of life experiences, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and the day-to-day complexities of balancing emotional and physical well-being. She meets each person with curiosity, compassion, and respect, holding the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Her goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported, without judgment.
Kajari works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, and is committed to providing inclusive, affirming care. Her multicultural awareness and lived understanding of identity inform her work with clients from a range of backgrounds. She has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as those who identify as polyamorous, transgender, or nonbinary, and is intentional about creating a space where all identities are respected and affirmed.
Her approach draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. She also speaks English and Gujarati. Through this integrative style, Kajari helps clients build insight, develop practical tools, and move toward meaningful, values-aligned change at a pace that feels right for them.
